 In the mid-1980s, First City Equities purchased the 150-acre Earlington Golf Course and renamed it Blackriver Corporate Park. Built in 1990, Blackriver 800 is a three-story single-tenant, Class A suburban office building with 74,600 rentable square feet and 375 parking stalls. Set in a campus-style business park, Blackriver 800 consists of two rectangular-shaped wings connected by a diagonal office/lobby structure. Blackriver 800 is leased to Puget Sound Educational Service District, and serves as PSESD’s headquarters. The project features a jogging trail and several enhanced wetlands and natural swales. Cottonwood trees help provide a habitat for all types of local animal life. The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is located just north of the property, and the park located west of the Blackriver Corporate Park was featured in Sunset Magazine as one of this region's most attractive urban nature walks.
