Paul Manheim serves as CEO where he oversees all company investments and strategy.
He started HAL Real Estate in 1993, leading the team’s acquisition, development, repositioning and disposition of various real estate projects across property types. Prior to HAL Real Estate, Paul worked for the firm's parent company holding various financial and corporate development functions.
In 2005, Paul left his executive position at HAL Real Estate, remaining a non-executive director, and moved to Shanghai, to take up the position of Chairman of the Red Star and Grand Vision optical retail chains, subsidiaries of HAL Holdings. He resumed his current position in 2015 and once again oversees HAL Real Estate’s investment and development strategy. Paul serves on the board of directors for a number of US and international public companies.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Jonathan Manheim serves as President where he oversees the company’s sourcing and structuring of new investments, management of the existing portfolio, and day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining HAL, Jonathan served as Director of Finance and Development for American Life. Earlier in his career, he held various investment roles with Clairvue Capital Partners (now StepStone Real Estate), the KOR Group, and Credit Suisse.
Within the Seattle real estate community, Jonathan serves on the NAIOP Washington State’s Programs Committee and mentors students at the UW Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he concentrated in Real Estate and Urban Studies.
Keith Maehlum serves as Vice President where he is responsible for sourcing and structuring new investment opportunities as well as managing the company’s development projects.
He has 30 years of experience as a real estate developer, investor and architect. He has completed a variety of projects including mixed-use walkable communities, multifamily developments, apartment to condo conversions, mixed-use urban infill condominium projects and office campuses. Prior to joining HAL, he led the development of over 30 office, retail and multifamily projects in Kirkland, Washington. Earlier in his career, Keith was a Project Manager with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and also built and ran his own architecture firm. Keith started his career as an associate with LPN Architects.
Keith is active in the local real estate community having served on the Kirkland Downtown Strategic Plan Committee and as a board member for the Bellevue CBD Planning Committee and Kirkland Chamber of Commerce.
Keith earned his Bachelors Degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Washington.
Brandon Bailey serves as Analyst, where he assists in the sourcing and structuring of new investment opportunities as well as managing the Company’s existing portfolio.
Prior to joining the team at HAL, Brandon was an Investment Banking Analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where his team sourced and executed M&A and private capital deals for middle market companies. Before KeyBanc, Brandon worked in the Midwest as a General Contracting Project Manager for NRP Group, a national multifamily developer.
Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University where he concentrated in Finance.
Cindy Larimer serves as the Controller for HAL Real Estate where she oversees the daily operations of the finance and accounting departments including all financial reporting and tax compliance.
She has 13 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and development accounting. Prior to that, she spent five years in public accounting.
Cindy earned both her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration with emphasis in taxation from Louisiana Tech University. She earned her CPA license in 1995 from the state of Louisiana.
