HAL Real Estate Inc. is a Seattle-based real estate investor focused on direct and joint-venture investment opportunities across the Greater Puget Sound Area. We have particular experience in the acquisition, development and recapitalization of apartment, condominium, office, and mixed-use properties and also invest in raw land, industrial and retail properties. HAL has the financial resources of a large institutional investor but operates with the speed and flexibility of a local private investor using its own capital.

History
HAL Holding N.V.'s roots date back to April 18, 1873, when the Nederlandsch-Amerikaansche Stoomvaart-Maatschappij (N.A.S.M.) was founded in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. For most of its history, the Company operated ocean shipping and travel businesses. In 1989, the Company sold its principal operating unit, Holland America Line, and since then has embarked on a strategy to build a diversified international holding company. All shares of HAL Holding N.V. are held by HAL Trust which is publicly traded on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
Formed in 1993, HAL Real Estate Inc. is the Seattle-based real estate subsidiary of HAL Holding N.V.
